1.Our Unwavering Commitment to Inclusivity
At L'archè, we believe that fashion should be as inclusive as it is sustainable. We recognize that "Citywear" belongs to everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive ability. Our mission is to ensure that our digital presence is an extension of our slow-fashion philosophy: thoughtful, intentional, and designed for longevity. We are dedicated to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our store.
2.Adherence to Global Standards
Our goal is to meet and exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AAA. While Level AA is the standard legal requirement for many, we strive for AAA to ensure the most robust experience for users of screen readers, speech recognition software, and other assistive technologies.
3.Specific Accessibility Features We’ve Implemented
-
Perceivable Content: Every image of our handmade sneakers includes descriptive Alt-Text. We use high-contrast color ratios (at least 7:1) to ensure text is readable for those with low vision.
-
Operable Navigation: Our entire site is fully navigable via keyboard alone. We have eliminated "keyboard traps" and ensure that focus indicators are always visible for urban explorers navigating without a mouse.
-
Understandable Interface: We use plain language to describe our sustainable materials. Our forms and buttons have clear, descriptive labels to prevent errors before they happen.
-
Robust Technology: Our site is tested against the latest versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver to ensure a seamless transition from code to speech.
